The mission of Childcare University (CU) is to ensure all early childhood educators have equal access to high-quality comprehensive revelant training and support.
Support services:
Parent Checks (PC) database system; a database dedicated to giving childcare providers information on parental clients who havereceived services from other providers and who left in good or, in some cases, not so good standing.
Karamu Nutrition Program a statewide (TN ) food program providing reimbursement to childcare providers who offer nutritious meals and snacks to children in their care. Karamu also offers training and continuing education to providers. Karamu is a public benefit non profit corporation serving childcare home providers and childcare centers.
Career Training Institute a� Postsecondary school authorized by The Tennessee Higher Education Commission. The main focus is to offer training to the community in Child Development Associate Degree Credentialing and other training to childcare providers and parents.
Membership to the African American Childcare Association; a national association dedicated to saving the next generation of African American children. This association offers childcare accreditation, training , conferences , and information on caring for African American children in a non African American setting.
As you can see our main focus is to impact the childcare community in a positive manner. Our founder, Ms Vera, has been a childcare trainer and advocate for many years. She has traveled across the country providing training and support to providers from California to South Carolina. Miss Vera is dedicated to the childcare community and looks forward to working with you.
